Perianth segments (in ours) in one 4-8-merous whorl. Stamens 4 in one whorl. Staminodes alternating with the stamens. Ovary inferior, 1-locular; ovule 1. Fruit dry, indehiscent, with (in ours) 2 apical wings. Worldwide: 5 genera and 57 species, tropics. |
