Description
Tessa's Pool was named after Tessa Ball, daughter of Orchidologist John Ball. It is one of a small series of pools at the foot of the Chimanimani Mts, within walking distance of the Outward Bound School. The area is largely surrounded by rocky Brachystegia woodland but the sandy soils are heavily influenced by quartzite sands and some of the typical quartzite endemics can be found here.
