Description:
Usually a small tree. Leaves oblong to elliptic, often distinctly sickle-shaped, hairless except for a few hairs near the base of the leafblade, light green to blue-green with the midrib yellowish and prominent. Flower heads variable, densely hairy, white to pink-tinged, strongly scented; involucral bracts pale green with silvery hairs, with or without a rusty margin. Fruit a hairy nutlet.
Notes:
Derivation of specific name: gaguedi: an Ethiopian vernacular name
Habitat: In a variety of habitats, often on rocky ground.
