Description:
Prostrate and sprawling or sub-erect and bushy, much-branched perennial herb. Leaves firmly-textured, oblong to narrowly lanceolate-elliptic, 1.2-5.5 cm long, often with a small, horn-like apical point, softly or roughly appressed hairy on both surfaces; margin wavy and with rough hairs; petiole up to 5 mm, sometimes absent. Inflorescences terminal on stems and branches, solitary, capitate, 1.5-2 cm in diameter, seesile or on a peduncle c. 1 cm long (rarely longer), subtended by a pair of leaves. Flowers with tepals oblong-lanceolate, 6.5-9 mm long, whitish.

Habitat: In alluvial depressions in mopane woodland, on floodplains and in wooded grassland.
Altitude range: 515 - 850 m
Flowering time:
Worldwide distribution: Tanzania, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia and South Africa.
