Scrambling perennial herb, either erect and bushy or low and mat-forming. Leaves very variable in shape and size, from linear lanceolate to ovate, more or less hairy, often markedly discolourous. Flowers in elongated clusters, mostly on short lateral branches, greenish to yellowish, sometimes purple-tinged. Fruit small, yellowish-brown to reddish-brown, grooved and tuberculate. |
