Description:
Slender perennial climbing herb. Leaves filiform, up to c. 3 cm. Flowers very dark purple, lighter maroon to whitish near the inflated base of the corolla tube. Corolla lobes hairy, fused at the apices to form a "cage".

Habitat: In grassland and heathland, among rocks.
Altitude range: 1200 - 1700 m
Flowering time:
Worldwide distribution: Apparently restricted to quartzitic areas in the Chimanimani Mts of Zimbabwe and Mozambique.
Mozambique distribution: MS
Growth form(s):
Endemic status: Near Endemic
