Description:
Straggling shrub or liane. Branches red to purple-black, densely rusty hairy, not zigzag. Leaves c. 6-15 cm long, obovate to oblanceolate-oblong, somewhat leathery, green and hairless above, glaucous and slightly hairy below, particularly on the veins; apex acute, rounded or emarginate; base cordate. Flowers solitary or rarely in pairs, extra-axillary, bisexual, yellow or greenish, fleshy. Fruit in 2-8 carpels, pink, orange-yellow to red.

Habitat: In evergreen forest.
