Description:
Stemmed herb with opposite leaves. Leaves elliptic, softly pilose above; apex obtuse; margin coarsely serrate-dentate. Peduncles terminal, c. 4.5-6 cm long, densely pilose with whitish hairs. Inflorescence terminal, capitate, condensed. Flowers red, mouth open; limb with upper lip 4-lobed, lower 1-lobed. Capsule c. 3 cm long, pilose.
