Hairless perennial with stems up to 1 m high growing from a stout woody rootstock. Leaves simple, elliptic, 4-12 cm long, leathery; margin entire or minutely glandular denticulate; petiole 1-4 mm long. Inflorescences terminal, 10-13 cm long on a peduncle up to 8 cm long. Flowers unisexual, creamy white. Fruit c. 13 mm long, 3-lobed to subglobose, shallowly tuberculate. |
