Shrub or small tree with rough reddish-brown bark. Roots radiating on the surface or sometimes looping in and out of the soil. Leaves spirally arranged, subsessile, obovate to narrowly elliptic, 2-9 cm long, fleshy, hairless. Inflorescences axillary spikes up to 2 cm long. Flowers cream or white, 7-8 mm long; petals 5; stamens 10. Fruit woody, tapering to both ends, 10-12 mm long. |
