Description:
Perennial herb up to 35 cm high, growing from a globose bulb up to 45 mm wide. Leaves 2-4, triangular, with a distinct pseudopetiole, sheathing at the base, bright shiny green above with darker blotches; paler beneath. Inflorescences single, spike-like on a peduncle taller than the leaves. Upper pedicels up to 2 mm long. Tepals c. 4 mm long, inner tepals narrower than outer.
Notes:
Derivation of specific name: maculata: spotted.
Habitat: In coastal forest fringes.
