Description of the genus

Shrubs or trees. Leaves paripinnate, with 2–many leaflets; stipules linear, caducous; leaflets alternate, sessile, asymmetric, midrib subcentral. Inflorescence racemose, usually simple. Hypanthium present, up to 5 mm long; sepals 4, subequal; petals white, 4–5, subequal. Ovary 2-ovulate. Fruit pods without a lateral nerve; dorsal suture winged.

Worldwide: Three species in tropical Africa.

Mozambique: 2 taxa.
