| Notes: | Acacia tree ranging in height from 2-10 m. Bark powdery yellow, thin and easily scraped off to reveal green underneath with a red inner bark. Spines in pairs 2-3 cm in length on trunk and branches; straight spines and alternate arrangement on branches. Leaves bipinnate alternate compound. Flowers white puff ball ca. 2 cm in diameter on stem (3 cm) on upper branches. Flowering late June-July. Pods not visible. Collected 26 June 1996 along west wall of 7 acre enclosure, 30 m from river. |
