Habitat: Along the escarpment and into the gorge, exiting to the Zambezi River. In Mopane-Terminalia woodland with cambisol-luvisol soil.
Location: Kalomo District; 27 km east of the Lusaka-Livingstone Road. On the road to Mukumi Village.

Notes: Tree; 8 m x 45 cm DBH. Bark grey-red, very smooth, peeling in large sheets. Bark used as detergent. Wood very soft. Plant with golden, sticky glands on petiole. Leaves softly pubescent, hairs gold and white. Calyx whitish-green, anthers yellow. Flowers with sweet, powdery scent. DNA sample.
