Notes: Annual herb, up to 0.60 m when in flower. Stems tend to prostrate but apically always erect, green, ? terete with dense white adpressed indumentum. Leaves alternate, simple (occasionally clustered); lamina ovate to obovate, apex acute, base cuneate, margin entire, ? 40 x 10 mm, dull grey-green with dense white adpressed indumentum on both surfaces but especially abaxially, midrib abaxially prominent; petiole stout, rigid, up to 1 cm long, very densely pubescent. Flowers minute, up to 2 mm in diameter, in axillary 2-forked spikes tightly coiled but unfurling with maturity, subtended by persistent, foliaceous bracts. Petals 5, fused, creamy white. Sepals 5, free, minute, densely pubescent, persistent. Fruit: achene, globose, ? 1.5 mm in diameter, densely pubescent.
