Description:	Climbing shrub or liane. Bark greyish-brown, smooth, with lenticels; milky sap present. Leaves opposite, elliptic with a distinct slender drip-tip, 4.5-7 cm long, thinly leathery; margin entire, not rolled under. Flowers in terminal and lateral inflorescences, white or yellowish, papillate hairy in the corolla mouth, scented. Corolla lobes 4-8 mm wide. Fruit in paired slender follicles, up to 36 cm long, slightly curved, grey. Seeds with an apical tuft of golden brown hairs, 3.5-4 cm long.

Derivation of specific name:	caudata: "tailed", ending in a long tail-like tip; latiloba: with broad lobes, referring to the corolla lobes in this subspecies.
