Evergreen shrub or small tree, usually 2-4 m tall. Leaves opposite, oblanceolate-elliptic to almost circular, up to 4.6 cm long, leathery, rounded at the apex and often subcordate at the base, hairless. Flowers axillary, solitary or in 1-5-flowered clusters, creamy-white to greenish. Fruit subglobose c. 1.5 cm in diameter, purple-black when ripe. |
