Rhachis winged; stellate hairs occuring on all parts of the lamina.
Notes:
Derivation of specific name: hirsutum: covered with long, moderately stiff and not interwoven hairs; hirsute
Habitat: Epiphyte or lithophyte in deeply shaded, moist montane forest.
Altitude range: 1400 - 2200 m
Worldwide distribution: Central and west Africa, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Tanzania. Also on Madagascar, Comoro & Mascarene islands and Seychelles.
