Common names:
Status: Native
Terrestrial herb, up to 80 cm. Leaves along the stem, sheathing at the base. Inflorescence many-flowered. Flowers yellow-green; side lobes of the lip white at the base, covered in papillose hairs. Petals 2-lobed, upper lobes erect clasping the dorsal sepal, lower lobes up to 20 mm, curved upwards. Dorsal sepal erect, hooding the anthers. Spur up to 23 mm, recurved, somewhat twisted and swollen near the apex.
Notes: The specimen in the images represents the first record from Mozambique for this species.

Habitat: In marshy places and seasonally flooded grassland, sometimes in shallow water.

Flowering time:Jan - Mar
Worldwide distribution: Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Namibia and South Africa.
