Status: Native
Subsp. graniticola differs from Ficus natalensis subsp. natalensis, in its leathery, often grey-green leaves, the often truncate leaf apices and the larger fruit which are yellow when ripe.
Notes: Although there is no definite record of this species from Mozambique, J.E. Burrows remarks in Figs of Southern and South-Central Africa, p. 182, that it "almost certainly occurs in western Mozambique".
