Description:	Small shrub with many, mostly unbranched stems to to 1.5 m tall. Leaves up to 12 cm long, dull green, leathery, covered in shaggy appressed hairs when young, becoming hairless when older. Flower heads mostly 7-9 cm in diameter, bracts usually brownish with a pink tip, brownish to greyish hairy when young, usually remaining strongly ciliate at the margins. Flowers 3.5-5.5 cm long, white, sometimes pink-tinged at the apex.
Notes:	This species was formerly described as P. neocrinita and was considered endemic to the Chimanimani Mts. More recently this taxon has proven to be conspecific with P. wentzeliana, which also occurs elsewhere in Africa.
