Description:
Erect, shrubby non-succulent annual or perennial, up to c. 1 m tall. Leaves elliptic-oblong, 2-9 cm long, dark green; apex rounded. Flowers in lax, many-flowered inflorescences, pink to purplish, c. 2.5 cm in diameter.
Notes:
Derivation of specific name: portulacifolium: with leaves like a Portulaca
Habitat: In open deciduous woodland.
