Description: |
Straggling shrub, 0.8-3m high with slender stems. Leaves imparipinnate mostly with 3-5 leaflets; leaflets broadly elliptic to ovate-oblong, terminal leaflet 2-6 cm long, up to twice the size of lateral leaflets; petiole 9-25 mm long. Flowers in axillary, densely flowered racemes, mostly 1-5 cm long. Calyx c.i mm long, densely set with appressed dark brown hairs. Corolla 6-7 mm long,back of the standard with dense, appressed dark brown hairs. Pod 35-65 mm long, constricted between the 5-10 seeds, beaked by the remains of the style. |

Derivation of specific name: | ormocarpoides: like an Ormocarpum. An unclear reference since it little resembles our species of that genus. |
Habitat: | In dense thicket or riverine forest often associated with rivers, termite mounds or rocky outcrops. |
