Perennial climbing or twining herb. Stems more or less densely velvety. Leaves 3-foliolate; leaflets broadly ovate, up to 11 × 10 cm, somewhat cordate at the base, hairy especially when young. Flowers blue, sometimes purple; standard with 2 L- or U-shaped appendages; keel symmetrical with a 3 mm long beak. Pods 3.5-5 cm long, linear cylindric, curved, hairy; apex with a short curved beak |
