Description:
Multi-stemmed shrub or small deciduous unarmed tree. Bark smooth, pale grey with lenticels, sometimes peeling. Leaves clustered at the ends of branches, imparipinnate with 3-5 pairs of leaflets and a terminal leaflet; leaflets oblong-lanceolate, up to 7 cm long, hairless, slightly aromatic when crushed; margins entire or finely serrate. Flowers small, creamy or yellow-green in large axillary branched heads, appearing with the new leaves. Fruit ellipsoid, c. 1.6 cm long, hairless, pendulous, brown-red when ripe, pseudo-aril fleshy bright red.
