| Description: |
More or less woody climber or liane. Stems cylindric, with a short grey pubescence; tendrils 2-fid. Leaves, alternate, very broadly ovate to almost circular, up to 15 × 15 cm, widely cordate at the base, pubescent with short spreading hairs on both surfaces, particularly on the veins; margin finely toothed; petiole 2-8 cm long, densely pubescent; stipuls c. 3 × 3 mm, pointed at the apex. Inflorescences leaf-opposed, branched, on a peduncle up to 9.5 cm long, pubescent. Flowers small, greyish-green, densely pubescent. Fruit ovoid c 9 × 6 mm when dry, covered in thick soft hair-like processes. |
