Annual herb, from 6-100 cm. Stipules 1-2 mm. Leaves: petiole up to 4.5 cm; lamina 1-5 × 1-5 cm, broadly ovate to subcircular, usually not lobed below, but shallowly to deeply 3-lobed above, the lobes broadly elliptic to ± linear, densely pubescent or tomentellous with occasional longer hairs; base usually cordate; margin entire or coarsely serrate. Flowers 3-3.5 cm in diameter, white or pale yellow. Epicalyx 0. Calyx 8-13 mm; lobes longer than the capsule. Capsule 5-8 × 5-6 mm, ellipsoid. Seeds densely minutely verrucose, glabrous. |
