Status: Native
Subshrubby perennial, up to 1 m. All parts with simple, stellate and glandular hairs. Leaves mostly lanceolate with serrate margins. Flowers solitary in the upper leaf axils. Petals pink to red, rarely whitish. Fruit an oblong-obovoid capsule, densely glandular with short spreading horns at the apex.
Derivation of specific name: glanduligera: bearing glands.
Habitat: Along river banks and open woodland in dry areas, also as a weed of cultivation.
