Description:
Shrub or small tree. Leaves spirally arranged or clustered on dwarf spur-branchlets, obovate to broadly oblong, up to 10 cm, both surfaces with our without fine hairs; base almost square to slightly lobed; margin entire, wavy. Flowers axillary, solitary or in few-flowered clusters, large, 5-10 cm in diameter, white with a mass of yellow stamens. Fruit an ovoid, woody capsule, 3-4 cm in diameter, splitting into 8 valves, revealing numerous brown seeds in a golden to red pulp.
