Description:	More or less erect annual herb, up to 30 cm tall. Stem 4-ridged, unbranched or sparingly branched above. Leaves opposite, linear-lanceolate, up to 12 mm long. Flowers cream, yellow or white, solitary or few together on pedicels up to 8 cm long. Calyx lobes 5, lanceolate, 3.5-6 mm long. Corolla 5-lobed with a funnel-shaped tube up to 9 mm long. Fruit an ellipsoid capsule 4-5 mm long.

Habitat:	In wet shallow soil overlying rock, marshy areas or at the edges of laterite pans.
