Description:	Shrub or small tree with milky latex. Leaves opposite, broadly elliptic to ovate, sparsely to densely hairy, glossy dark green above paler below. Flowers in dense, many-flowered, axillary heads, white, sweetly scented; calyces and flower stalks densely hairy; corolla lobes overlapping to the right. Fruit in paired, long slender follicles, up to 30 cm, conpicuously dotted with lenticels. Seeds with long silky hairs to aid dispersal by wind.
