Description:
Annual herb, twining or occasionally prostrate. Stems up to 2.5m long, densely covered with white to yellowish bristly hairs. Leaves broadly ovate-cordate in outline, up to 18.5 × 17.5 cm, deeply 3-lobed, rarely entire, bristly hairy above, densely white-woolly below; petiole 4-10 cm long. Inflorescences axillary, several-flowered on a peduncle up to 7 cm long. Calyx densely bristly hairy, Corolla relatively small (c. 2 cm), funnel-shaped, pink or mauve with a darker centre. Capsule ovoid, softly hairy above.

Habitat: In dry, deciduous woodland, grassland and cultivated areas, usually on alluvial and sandy soils.
