Description: |
Perennial herb up to 1.2 m tall with quadrangular branching stems growing from a woody rootstock. Leaves ovate to oblong, 15-50 mm long, more or less densely pubescent on both surfaces and scattered sessile glands,upper leaves often tinged white, pink or purplish; petiole 2-10 mm long; margin serrate-crenate. Inflorescence usually dense with many-flowered verticils close together,sometimes more distant below.Calyx 1-1.5 mm long densely pubescent and with sessile glands. Corolla 3-5 mm long, white or purple. Stamens exserted for c. 2 mm. |
