Description:
More or less erect, multi-stemmed perennial herb, up to c. 50 cm. Leaves small, alternate, sessile, linear. Flowers in lax inflorescences, white to light blue; corolla split into lobes less than half the length, puberulous inside near the base.
Notes:
Derivation of specific name: banksiana: named after Sir Joseph Banks (1743 - 1820), former President of the Royal Society and patron of the sciences
Habitat: In sandy grassland, riverbanks and seasonal vleis.
