Description:
|
Shrub or tree. Bark pale grey, rough with conspicuous raised lenticels. Leaves opposite, elliptic to ovate, 7-12 cm long, thinly textured, glossy dark green above, pale green veining conspicuous below; margin finely crenate-serrate. Flowers in small rounded clusters, creamy-yellow. Fruit on a hairy stalk, globose, c. 10 mm, crowned with the remains of the style, golden-brown. |

pervillei: probably named after Auguste Pervillé, French gardener, explorer and plant collector who collected in Madagascar and the Seychelles around 1837-1841. |
