Description:
Roots clustered, fleshy, fusiform, white. Tuber absent. Stem twining, succulent, c.1.5 mm diam., glabrous. Leaves succulent, often scalelike, petiole 2 mm long, glabrous; leaf blade linear-lanceolate, to 10 × 2 mm, base cuneate, apex acute, both surfaces glabrous. Inflorescence extra-axillary, sessile, cyme 2- or 3-flowered, flowers opening in succession. Pedicel 18–20 mm long, stiffly straight, glabrous. Sepals linear-triangular, c.3 mm long, mostly somewhat recurved near apex, glabrous. Bud with pointed sinuses. Corolla 30–70 mm long, straight; tube 23–50 mm long, basal chamber obovoid, 10–30 × 6.5–25 mm wide, slightly but distinctly narrowed at apex, limb cylindrical, 7–15 mm wide, slightly narrowed at mouth, exterior greenish white with darker longitudinal lines, glabrous; interior similar in colour to exterior except for narrow purple band at junction of basal chamber and tube, basal chamber very sparsely hairy, tube densely retrorsely pilose; sinuses obtuse, narrowly auriculate; lobes oblong lanceolate, 6–20 mm long, plicate, apices loosely connate to form ovoid-conical cage, widest at base, glabrous, adaxially pale at base then abruptly green, glabrous. Corona sessile, outer basin or saucer shaped, lobes bifid to base, spreading, teeth triangular so corona subequally 10-toothed, c.1 mm long, adaxially pilose; inner lobes slightly incumbent on anthers and then erect, filiform, to 5 mm long, glabrous.
