Description: |
Shrub or small tree; branchlets lenticellate with prominent apical buds of overlapping hairy scales. Leaves alternate, elliptic to oblanceolate, 8-18 cm long, with al long acuminate apex, hairless; margin entire; petiole c. 5 mm. flowers in short axillary racemes; sexes separate in the same inflorescence. Sepals 3, rounded, green; petals 5-7; white; stamens numerous. Fruit a indehiscent capsule, c. 17 mm long, with 4-6 spreading membranous wings, toothed at the apex. |
