Hypanthium urceolate, becoming coloured and fleshy in fruit. Stamens and carpels numerous; ovules 1. Fruit composed of numerous achenes enclosed in the hypanthium. Worldwide: 100 - 150 species, northern temperate to tropical mountains Mozambique: 1 cultivated taxon. |
