Description of the genus

Small trees or shrubs. Leaves simple, ovate, serrate, (at least in the apical half), densely rusty-tomentose when young. Inflorescence of terminal panicles. Flowers bisexual. Petals 4. Ovary 4-locular. Fruit a drupe.

Worldwide: 1 species in southen Africa

Mozambique: 1 taxon.
