Corolla 2-lipped; upper lip erect or ascending, usually concave or arched, entire or very shortly emarginate, usually shorter than the lower lip; lower lip spreading or reflexed, 3-lobed. Stamens 4, ascending under the upper lip; style 2-fid. Worldwide: 300 species in temperate and warm regions of the world and on tropical mountains Mozambique: 5 taxa.  |
