Description of the genus

Tree. Leaves in whorls of 3-4, lanceolate or oblong-lanceolate. Inflorescences lateral, spherical, borne on long peduncles. Flowers 5-merous. Corolla tube pubescent outside. Ovary 2-locular. Fruits dry, dehiscent. Seeds ovoid, flattened, not winged.

Worldwide: 1 species in tropical Africa and Madagascar

Mozambique: 1 taxon.
