Calyculus usually present, less often 0. Receptacle flat, lacking scales. Flowers tubular, 5-toothed; style arms appendaged. Achenes without a beak. Pappus of bristles in several series. Worldwide: c.40 species from the Canary Is, tropical and South Africa, Madagascar, Arabia to Sri Lanka Mozambique: 3 taxa. |
