Slender climbing herb with stems up to 60 cm long; milky sap present; leaves filiform to linear; flowers solitary, axillary, up to 2 cm long; basal swelling creamy yellow, corolla tube increasingly streaked with dark purple towards the top; lobes erect, forming a cage, dark purple, densely set with long spreading hairs. Only one specimen seen
