Bulb globose, up to 20 cm in diameter. Leaves in a rosette, blue-green or occasionally green, up to 118 × 4-22 cm broad, without a distinct scabrous midrib or keel; margin scabrid, slightly to markedly undulate. Flowers 2-18 per umbel. Perianth segments white with a pink keel. Fruits green fading to dull yellow. Seeds with a greyish, water-repellent outer covering over a green photosynthetic layer, variable in shape, floating in water. |
