Rambling shrub or twiner. Stems with circular whitish lenticels. Leaves broadly ovate to almost round, up to c 14 × 11 cm, roughly hairy on both sides; base more or less cordate; margin doubly toothed with glandular and hairy teeth; petiole 2.5-5 cm. Male flowers numerous, borne in supra-axillary spikes up to 16 cm long. Female flowers (sometimes bisexual) solitary near the leaf axil. |
