Description:	Scrambling shrub with slender branches. Leaves alternate, lanceolate to broadly ovate, up to 5.5 × 3 cm, hairless or slightly velvety on the midrib below, margin scalloped or toothed with minute apical glands. Flowers in few-flowered axillary clusters, small, white; stamens 5. Fruit a pendulous, elliptic-ovoid capsule, c. 8 × 6 mm, somewhat fleshy.
Notes:
Derivation of specific name:	eylesiana: named after Frederick Eyles (1864 - 1937), one of the most prolific botanical collectors of Zimbabwean plants.
Habitat:	In the understorey of evergreen forest and along forest margins.
Altitude range:	1500 - 2000 m
