Perennial herb growing from a tuber. Annual stems 1-several, up to 30 cm high, branches spreading, densely tomentose. Leaves lanceolate-elliptic, up to 60 × 20 mm, densely tomentose on both surfaces. Flowers in axillary clusters of 3-4, normally without a scent. Corolla 18-20 mm in diameter, wheels with a very shallow or no tube. Lobes lanceolate, light yellow-green to purple, apical half with 20-30 purple bristles. Outer corona cup-shaped with 5 shallow pockets, yellow; inner lobes linear-lanceolate just overtopping the gymnostegium. |
