Description:
Shrub or small tree, 1-4 m tall. Indumentum of matted T-shaped hairs. Leaves petiolate; lamina 3-6.5 x 1.5-3 cm, elliptic to oblong-ovate or obovate; apex obtuse or rounded; green above, densely greyish-tomentellous beneath. Capitula borne in subumbellate clusters of 4-15 capitula or sometimes with 2-3 laxly arranged capitula in abbreviated panicles. Involucres longer than wide. Phyllaries tightly appressed, becoming longer inwards. Florets white or pale mauve. Achenes 3-4 mm; pappus long-exserted beyond the involucre.
