Description: |
Rather succulent perennial epiphytic or lithophytic herb. Stems decumbent, 15-50 cm long, rooting at the lower nodes. Leaves alternate, sometimes the uppermost opposite, often more concentrated on the ascending upper part of the stems, spathulate, elliptic to obovate-oblong, 2.5-6 cm long, often variable on the same branch, 3-5-veined from the base, succulent when fresh, bright green above, paler with a prominent midrib beneath, hairless but punctate with pellucid glands; margin entire, sometimes ciliate towards the apex; petiole 2-10 mm long, thick. Inflorescence in solitary terminal or axillary spikes, greenish, 4-11 cm long. Fruit spheric-ellipsoid, c. 1 mm long, brownish, covered with whitish glands. |
