 | Erect perennial herb with several pubescent stems from a woody base, 30-65 cm tall; roots tubereous mauve-coloured. Leaves opposite below, alternate above, linear, often held vertically, 15-38 mm long, shortly and roughly hairy. Flowers 4-14, alternate in loose terminal inflorescences. Bracts shorter than the calyx. Calyx strongly 15-ribbed with 2 ribs ending between each calyx tooth. Corolla 15-20 mm in diameter, white with a greenish, densely hairy tube. Capsule 8 mm long, valves recurved at the apex after dehiscence. |
